Zippy Honey Dressing/Marinade
Makes 16 servings
| Metric | Ingredient | Imperial |
|---|---|---|
| 125 mL | red wine vinegar | ½ cup |
| 1 mL | black pepper | ¼ tsp. |
| 2 mL | salt | ½ tsp. |
| 30 mL | honey | 2 tbsp. |
| 2 | garlic cloves, finely chopped | 2 |
| 10 mL | Worcestershire sauce | 2 tsp. |
| 15 mL | Dijon mustard | 1 tbsp. |
| 250 mL | water | 1 cup |
| juice of ½ lemon |
- Place all ingredients except water in container with tight-fitting lid. Shake well.
- Add water and shake again.
Flavour improves if made a day ahead. Dressing can be stored for several weeks.
Note: Honey is a safe and wholesome food for adults and children, but it should not be fed to infants less than a year old.
