The Canada Agriculture Museum is hosting an exciting fundraising event called Baskets with Panache! on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Museum.
Proceeds from Baskets with Panache! enable children with financial or physical challenges in our community to attend the Museum's school programs and summer day camps and have an unforgettable hands-on farm experience. The funds are to pay for transportation costs, program fees and other supplies or equipment to enhance the children's visit.
Baskets with Panache! is a unique fundraising event where gift baskets created by local community leaders will be auctioned. These baskets have "Panache" because many will create a basket reflecting his or her own personality and interests, containing items unique to their individuality and organization.
The June 13 evening kicks off with an eclectic blend of blues and jazz with a bit of Dixieland performed by The Saints 'N' Sinners and features hors-d'oeuvres, seasonal Canadian foods and beverages by Thyme & Again Creative Catering paired with Award-Winning Prince Edward County Wines, and craft beers that will be sure to delight the senses. Emceeing the event is Angie Poirier from the Majic 100 Morning Show who will join her morning co-host Stuntman Stu, who is returning as Auctioneer of the live auction contributions from community leaders. There is also a silent auction of other fabulous donated items.
