Hello! I am a Border Leicester ewe. My daughter and I are the black sheep of the Museum. No, seriously! I am literally a black sheep. Whether black or white, we Border Leicesters have long wool on our bodies, but our heads and legs are wool free. We are raised for both our meat and our wool. Please come visit me. I will get shorn during the Museum’s Sheep Shearing Festival on the Victoria Day long weekend in May.
I had two lambs early this spring, whose father had white wool. Come find out what colour their wool turned out to be.
